About Us
Stan Kirkwood and Jim Boughey have been active designers since 1986.  The partners have years of experience documenting and designing both businesses and processes with the goal of improving business performance.  They have been involved with the implementation of their designs and their experience extends into every area of the business.

The two partners started out working at the process level and quickly learned several lessons:

Ø       The design of a process has the largest impact on its performance

Ø       A poorly designed process will never produce good results

Ø       Processes must be documented in order to make them visible

Ø       Risks of unintended consequences to process changes can be reduced by having a documented design.

After many successes at the process level they were discouraged to see the overall impact to the business.  That was when it became apparent that they needed work at the business level.  Every lesson learned at the process level was also true at the business level.  Read the four lessons listed above and substitute the word ‘business’ for the word ‘process’.  With that in mind Stan and Jim collaborated and developed a patent-pending  methodology they use to design businesses.  They refer to their system as Business Blueprints™.
